How to Use Anti-Lice Shampoo Correctly on Children
When your child comes home with head lice, using anti-lice shampoo can be one of the quickest ways to deal with it. But for the shampoo to work well, it needs to be used the right way. Many parents worry about using it safely, especially with young kids.
Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you do it properly and gently.
Start with Dry Hair:
An anti lice shampoo for kids works best on dry hair. Before using the product, check the instructions on the bottle to be sure. Comb through your child’s hair to remove any knots or tangles. This makes it easier to apply the shampoo and helps it cover all areas of the scalp.
Apply the Shampoo Evenly:
Squeeze the shampoo into your hands and apply it directly to the scalp and hair. Be sure to cover the back of the head, behind the ears, and the neck. These are the places lice like to hide the most. Massage the shampoo gently into the scalp and down through the hair. Avoid getting the product in your child’s eyes. If needed, use a towel to protect the face.
Let It Sit for the Right Time:
